For inside or outside use has 32 power sockets for you to plug in 32 lithium-ion battery chargers – up to 4 x 12 - 48 volt batteries per compartment (32 in total). Each compartment is insulated completely all around like in a kiln, with 1430 degree C continuous rated HotWall insulation. Creating 60mm thick walls floors and ceilings with1.8mm thick interior steel lining and 1.2mm exterior steel cladding resulting in a 90 min fire rating and a 90 min integrity compliance required to contain exploding large 48 Volt Li-ion batteries.
We are aware that exploding batteries light up neighbouring batteries and we don’t want the whole cabinet full of exploding batteries having a thermal runaway event all at the same time, Hence the compartments. The containment of only 4 batteries per compartment is paramount . Many battery tools are now powered by 48 volt batteries along with e-bikes , scooters and the like, they all need respect.
TSCW double bake powder coat system with high Zinc first coat and high build- top coat of RAL 9003 colour helps keep ambient temperatures lower even in full sunlight.

- 1 x 4 gang power socket per compartment .
- 1 x 2 pole separate circuit breaker in each compartment , for overloading or earth leakage .. some battery chargers can be faulty .

- A 1.5m long power cable is concealed in the back wall of the cabinet for security in transit once removed it simply plugs into your 10 amp wall socket , same as normal house power wall sockets.
- Each compartment has an intake vent and a back pressure system allowing the cooling air to be introduced through the door , the exhaust vent, inside the outer side wall of each compartment has a flame arrestor, cooling fan, filter and finally a louver vent to aim any residue smoke towards the ground .

- 2 x fork pockets for easy cabinet relocation.
Each door has a 304 Stainless Steel combination lock operated with either , finger print , swipe key, combination or emergency key. A managers master combination number can be used to open any combination lock .

1. What is thermal runaway and why is it dangerous?
Thermal runaway occurs when a lithium-ion battery overheats and releases hydrogen gas, followed by hydrogen fluoride smoke, leading to an explosion within 1–3 seconds. The explosion can reach over 1000°C and cause cascading failures in nearby batteries.
2. How does the HotWall insulation system work and what temperature can it withstand?
Our HotWall insulation system completely surrounds each compartment like a kiln, with continuous ratings of 1260–1430°C. This prevents heat from permeating to the cabinet’s exterior walls, protecting your facility from secondary fire disasters when thermal runaway occurs.
3. What is the TSCW ventilation system and why is it essential?
The TSCW ventilation system safely expels hydrogen gases and hydrogen fluoride fumes through flame arrestors to exhaust vents. Without proper ventilation, pressure buildup could force cabinet doors open or create dangerous conditions. This system is critical for safe battery management.
4. Can I use a regular flammable goods cabinet instead of these specialized lithium-ion cabinets?

5. How many batteries can each cabinet actually hold and what voltages are supported?
Our cabinets accommodate 4 batteries per compartment, with total capacities ranging from 4 stations (1 compartment) to 20 stations (5 compartments). The Heavy Duty model specifically supports 48V batteries, while other models accommodate various lithium-ion battery types with their respective chargers.
6. What happens if a battery explodes inside the cabinet – will it affect other batteries or damage my facility?
Each compartment is individually insulated to contain explosions and prevent thermal runaway from spreading to neighboring batteries. The HotWall insulation and TSCW ventilation system work together to contain the explosion, manage dangerous gases, and protect your facility from secondary fires.
